Traditional indonesian sweet dish made of tofu and tempe. Manis means sweet in Indonesian.
Ingredients
This Recipe Serves 2
5 pcs Tofu - cut julliene
1 piece Tempe - cut julliene
5 pcs Garlic
10 pcs Shallot
5 pcs Red chili
1 pcs Tomato
3 pcs Hot chili
2 pcs Kafir lime leaves
3 slices Galangal (if not available, just without)
150 ml Oil
2 tbs Sugar or sweet soya

Serves
After cooking, put the dish on the plate and add any kind of garnish.
Chef's Tip
After adding the sugar or sweet soya to the sauce and after the fried tofu and tempe, do not cook it for too long, otherwise the sauce will get bitter. It is enough if you just quickly mix it together. The tahu tempe you can be kept in a room temperature in a closed container.
